Working with the last update. Just run the game and then go to profile, then gifts and then accept all gifts. Then go back and buy something (don't need play), and then close the game. If you don't buy something it will not save the actually coins. You can repait it how many times you want. If it is not working you get more than 100 friends first and then try again.
